This year for Valentine’s day I wanted to create a fun and inexpensive table for our family dinner. My kids love Valentine’s day and have been really excited about it this year, so I wanted to do something fun!
I went to the Dollar Tree and found some fun things to create my tablescape with!
These white “wedding favor” buckets were 3 for $1.00 and I decided to use them as treat buckets at each place setting. Because who doesn’t love a little candy with dinner…and I thought the they were cute and my kids will love to play with them afterwards!!
Cotton candy is always a good idea! I decided to put some in mason jars as part of the centerpiece.
I used a plastic table-cloth from the Dollar Tree as a runner underneath everything as well. The mason jars, cake stands, yarn hearts and flowers I already had lying around. Simple, but sweet!
Conversation hearts are always a fun touch in clear glass jars!
I used these large heart doilies I found at the Dollar Tree under the napkins to add a little color. I folded white napkins I already had into the shape of an envelope, and put a paper heart with a note for everyone inside.
So with ten dollars, and a little creativity- you can create a “sweet” and fun Valentine’s day table! Decorating your table for a holiday doesn’t have to cost a lot. A few fun ideas, using what you have, and thinking outside the box are a great way to create a little Valentine’s day fun!
Hope you have a “sweet” Valentine’s day friends!!
